Laurie Martinez Duncan, Founder & Director

Laurie holds a Master's degree in Holistic Leadership, Counseling, and the Expressive Arts, she a licensed, nationally certified body therapist, and workshop facilitator supporting life leadership development through personal awareness and growth practices, somatic movement, story, and creativity. She has a background in Restaurant Management and Live Event Production Coordination. She has served on the board of local arts and community organizations and continues to be a community volunteer. She is a native New Yorker, currently residing in Central Florida and working on her doctorate. She holds a certificate in Non Profit Management from the Edyth Bush Institute at Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Seiry Perdomo, Sisters Rising Director & Program Facilitator

Seiry (pronounced Say-ree) Perdomo is a dynamic problem solver who believes that being of service is her soul purpose. In 2012 she established a multi-service agency dedicated to providing individualized services to improve quality of life. As an entrepreneur she focuses on the triple bottom line, efficiency, and is highly intuitive.

Seiry has spent the last 20 years cultivating the skills to empower people through financial literacy, with the goal of reducing related stress. She learns, practices and shares wholistic methods of healing with anyone who seeks it. Her favorite way to be of service is to bring humanity back into alignment with the Earth one being at a time.

Alexandra Martinez, Director of Marketing

Alex is the founder of Rebel Creative Co. (a feminist marketing agency + global freelancer collective). Her passion for women’s rights stemmed at a young age, for she grew up highly involved in Red Tent circles, beside a strong community of women who impacted her upbringing. She is a true global citizen, working remotely as a digital nomad. She offers services such as eCommerce management, content creation, influencer partnership management, SEO, copywriting, and social media strategy consulting. Viviana Adams, Program Facilitator & Sisters Rising Co-Director

Viviana is passionate about holistic health, movement and empowerment. Providing women in the community with individualized wellness coaching, care and nourishment.

Founder of Reggaerobics by V, Dance Medicine - a dynamic and uplifting class focused around body positivity, and finding one's own rhythm. Specializing in women's holistic wellness, Viviana offers workshops and classes that educate on nutrition, womb wellness and self care practices.

Suzie Scott, Events Production

Suzie is a Community Builder and Coordinator. She was Co-Founder, Co-Owner and Market Coordinator for the Plant Street Market in Winter Garden, a revolutionary concept in revitalizing an industrial warehouse into a collaborative local food hub and market place that infused the neighborhood with life and commerce. She fostered Plant Street Market from concept to its full successful operation before moving on to creating Petal Pushers Marketplace & Event Coordinators then on to collaborating with Disney and other local companies where she offers her creative talents while building community.

Phyllis Anne Taylor, Orlando Artist

Phyllis graduated from Philadelphia College of Art. She is a prolific portrait artist and Intentional Creativity teacher and enjoys encouraging women to acknowledge & activate their imaginations allowing them to fully tap into their Fierce, Fabulous & creative Feminine selves! She guides women in creating their own images, to choose to heal around body image and the emotional or physical stories we carry, through using image and visual art as medicine. Using painting as a form of medicine, can be a powerful healing process and catalyst for transformation.

Susan Sackett Womens Center

Susan Sackett, Treasurer

Susan is Treasurer of our organization and a woman of a volunteering heart. She has an Executive M.B.A. from Rollins College, and her previous work experience ranges from Financial Analyst, Assistant Controller, Manager of Budgets & Financial Planning to President of a Medical Reimbursement firm that she founded. Currently she is an Accounting Consultant, for the past 14 years. In her spare time, she is an equestrian, showing in dressage on her horse Capelo. Susan has been an active member of Rotary International for 20+ years; and will serve as President of her Club for the third time this summer 2021.
